Oh, the venison at Wilde's was like a taste of heaven! And don’t skip dessert—those cookies are pure magic! Overall, the cozy vibes in the bar, especially by the fire, made our evenings special. We also loved how dog-friendly the place is, pampering our little pooch with treats and a comfy bed.
But, a gander at the bar and it felt like we sat on furniture from a thrift store. The lighting in Wilde's didn't help the vibe. it was as bright as a stadium, killing the romantic mood we were after.

The Lodge at Ashford Castle provided an exceptional environment for my work trip. My room was spacious and well-equipped, making it easy to finalize presentations and conduct video calls. Unfortunately, the Lake View Suite wasn’t accurately depicted on the site. it did not have the separate sitting area or fireplace that one might expect from a suite. Additionally, the room featured outdated design choices, with much of the decor focusing heavily on reds that felt out of place for a luxury setting. The bathroom felt quite basic, lacking the upscale touches one would hope for, such as a marble finish or more modern amenities. It's also worth noting that while certain areas like the dining facilities impressed, the service timing during breakfast could be sluggish during peak hours, which detracted from the overall experience.

A wonderful stay with fantastic activities
We had a lovely weekend getaway, enjoying various activities that kept us engaged. The room was spacious and well-decorated, offering a comfortable retreat after our adventures. Breakfast was particularly delightful, with a wide selection that included freshly baked pastries and local specialties. Although the dinner menu could use a bit more variety, the overall experience was memorable, and I would highly recommend this place for a relaxing escape.

The experience was memorable, especially with the lovely setting and attentive staff. The food at Wilde's was truly a highlight, though the dining options could have varied more in the evenings. It would be great to have a clearer communication on the castle access. Overall, a charming place worth visiting!
